At the Michigan Ice Fest, we have been a long-time believer in the all-women’s courses and the advantages of.  We know from experience that there’s something uniquely special about our all-women’s classes. Whether it’s the camaraderie, the nonstop laughter, or just knowing that climbing ice with other women is a very good thing.

Our all-women’s programs combine the time tested itineraries of our climbing courses with a supportive and fun environment led by accomplished female guides.This class is designed to introduce women ice climbers to the gear and techniques associated with beginning to leading on ice. Students will learn proper use of gear and equipment and will be shown different techniques and when to use them. Students will also be able to demo screws by the presenting sponsor! Upon entering this class, the student must have knowledge of the basic gear and techniques associated with ice climbing.

Each participant will walk home with their choice of a 16 or 19cm screw!
