Get the Most out of ice fest

Sign up early.

Not only does it save you money, but our classes tend to fill up really fast. Registering early will also get you bonuses such as free swag like FITS socks, pint glasses and the official tee shirt! Book your lodging early too, it’s a small town and rooms in town don’t last long.

Show up early!

Doesn’t matter if it is a class, the demo, a presentation or for the free beer at the after parties. If you are late you will almost certainly miss out.

Prepare for anything.

Take a course/clinic.

Enjoy Munising and Pictured Rocks.

Spectating & Photography.

Online registration fee is $65. This gets you into all of the Ice Fest socials, slideshows and the famous raffle. If you sign up at the door the registration fee will be $100.  You’ll get the same benefits, but registering online will save you some money.

A 50% refund will be given for registrations canceled before January 1st. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to give any refunds for cancelations after January 1st or to participants who register but don’t make it to the festival. In the past, we’ve allowed people to trade or sell their registrations, but we can no longer do this.

Demo Gear.

Demo gear is available to rent for the entire weekend. The demo fee is $70 if you register online, or $100 at the door, and gets you boots, tools and crampons for Wednesday through Sunday.  Gear must be returned each evening and checked out again in the morning.

If you are taking a class, the gear needed for the class is provided as part of the class fee and there’s no need to pay the demo fee. If you plan on using gear outside of your class, you’ll need to pay for the demo.
