Black Diamond Lock Off Challenge
Join us for a round of the BD Lock Off Challenge, presented by Black Diamond. We put a weighted BD climbing pack on your shoulders, give you a pair of ice tools, and see how long you can hang on….. when your arms hit a 90-degree bend, your time is up. Sounds simple right, trust us, it’s harder than it sounds. Last year’s record was just shy of 2 minutes, are you feeling strong?!?!? We have prizes for the top times throughout the weekend. Come join us at the BD booth at the Michigan Ice Fest and give it a shot!
CAMP Quick Clip Challenge
The CAMP Quick Clip Challenge is a speed competition where participants use only one hand to move locking carabiners from one location to another as quickly as possible. This will test your agility and proficiency with climbing gear, with fast times winning prizes!
CAMP USA – Rope Coiling Contest
Rope management is an important skill- how efficient are you? Participants race to properly coil a climbing rope utilizing a mountaineer’s coil or butterfly coil testing both speed and avoiding tangles.
