First off, thank you everyone who came to this years Ice Fest. Obviously it was not what we planned, but we’re happy that our Ice Fest family were able to get up, climb a bit and learn a lot.
Do to the unprecedented weather, we were forced to cancel all of our on ice clinics and the gear demo for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This was done to protect the safety of climbers as well as the natural resources within Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
The event, however was not canceled, and we were able to run all of our classes on Wednesday and Thursday, as well as offering all the evening presentations, coffee talks, apres events, and socials. We also pivoted and offered over 50 new off ice clinics and seminars throughout the weekend.
Because we were not able run the demo or on ice clinics, we will be refunding participants for all of the classes we canceled as well as the demo fee for everyone who everyone who paid it. We will not be refunding the festival registration fee, or the class fees for the classes we were able to offer.
We have over 1000 people who signed up for Ice Fest, so organizing and processing all of these refunds will take time. Please be patient. We anticipate completing the process over the next two weeks.
Thank you to everyone who made this festival so amazing. The climbing might not have been what we all wanted, but it was great spending time with so many of our friends.
