Our Thursday hangout with Detroit Outdoors at the Michigan Ice Fest Guides Center is becoming a tradition, and this year you’ll have a chance to help us raise some money for a cause that is close to our hearts. As always, there will be plenty of tasty bites and libations to enjoy. The sound track will be inspired by Memphis and Detroit musical roots, and you’ll definitely want to come for the prizes and swag. In memory of Jarmond Johnson, a part of the Memphis Rox family and a friend of Detroit Outdoors, we are raising money for a joint trip to bring Detroit and Memphis youth into the outdoors. Jarmond was committed to uplifting the youth in his community by getting kids from the city into the outdoors. You can help us carry his work and legacy forward. Come through for the mission, the food, the people, the awesome prizes – we promise you’ll have plenty of time to still make the evening Ice Fest programs. This all ages space will be hosted by Sierra Club Outdoors for All, Michigan Outdoor Recreation Industry Office, The BOAT Bus, Land of Outsiders, and Detroit Parks and Recreation Dept
