Originally, having an upbringing in Metro Detroit, I was introduced to rock climbing through friends that took us on road trips to The Red River Gorge of Kentucky, The New River Gorge of West Virginia, Seneca Rock, and the Gunks of New York. I discovered Ice Climbing shortly thereafter and quickly realized that this was my favorite form of climbing. In 2010 I made my first trip to Alaska and knew it was where I belonged. So after multiple trips I eventually made the decision and moved to Alaska permanently.  I now work with Alaska Mountain Rescue traveling all over the state as well as rescue patrols on Denali with the National Park Service. I am also a nationally registered AEMT. When I’m not working I am off chasing first ascents and striking new lines with my climbing partners. To me there is nothing more thrilling than questing into the unknown of a new ice or alpine route.
