She’s guided in most of those ranges but most recently found a passion for remote ski mountaineering trips to the Antarctic Peninsular and Arctic Svalbard. Ages ago Angela
skied from Sweden to Norway across Lapland, she reached to the South Summit of Mt. Everest and led many technical all-women’s ascents.

She was president of the American Mountain Guides Association and for 20 years has trained and examined guides in rock, alpine, ice and ski mountaineering for the AMGA. She has a Master’s Degree in International Mountain Conservation, serves on the IFMGA board and is the first woman to serve as vice president of the IFMGA Technical Commission. Angela’s on the POW Athlete Alliance and leads the IFMGA’s efforts
preparing mountain guides for the impacts of climate change. She also been a life-long champion for inclusivity, a mentor and an advocate for women in outdoor professions. Her home is in Ridgway, Colorado where the grass doesn’t grow under her feet!
