Yesterday Michigan Ice Fest Guides Nic Dobbs and David Hixenbaugh had the day off and headed out for some laps on the lakeshore pillars.  Currently are temperatures have warmed up which we really needed to help heal some of the fractures that occured during our brutally cold Holiday season.

If you are looking to climb the classic pillars in Munising be sure to check out the formations carefully as many have been fractured and can be potenitally unstable. Check out the video below of Sweet Mother Moses.

The good news about our warm temperature is that many of the factures will start to heal over.  The long range forcast is favorable and looks like we can expect the formations to start to grow!
