Looking for ice to climb during the festival but want to get away from the crowds?  This year it looks like there is a distinct possibility that we will be able to access Grand Island!  While it is noble to ski across to the West Shore and get a route or two in, but you might want to consider a quick snowmobile ride over and get lots of routes in!  This year there are a couple of locals that will be running private shuttles to access backcountry climbing.  We will introduce them at the evenings presentations so that transportation can be arranged.

All participants signed up for the Backcountry Adventure Courses will be shuttled via the Michigan Ice Fest shuttle located on Miners Castle Road.
