We have broken into March and the conditions couldn’t be better! Took a stroll out on the Lakehore trail today and was surprised to see that conditions were improved over last week! A light snow was falling which made the trail a little easier to manage rather then slipping and sliding on the hard pack ice last week.

Giddy Up was actually starting to ice back over but was still unclimbable. Mini Me and Sunny Day were in fine shape and had actually grown quite a bit in the last week.

We first attempted to climb The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly but found that it was running water so bad that it was impossible to climb.

We decided to bail and head on over the the unnamed climb just a short walk down the trail. We found the climb to be in excellent condition and most importantly dry!

Around the corner from the Unnamed Climb is Midnight Rambler. This classic climb is in excellent shape and should be for some time!

While the shore ice is starting to pile up it is still easier and faster to access the lakeshore climbs from the top by walking the Lakeshore Trail. There is still plenty of winter left so come on up and take advantage of our extended ice season. We’ll hit Grand Island on Sunday so stop back for a photo and conditions report!
