Temperatures are falling but the conditions are hot in Munising right now.  Most climbs in the park are in and with plenty of climbers around the trails are in good shape.  Snow yesterday and today may mean you need snowshoes or skis.

Don’t be put off by the cold temps, this is ice climbing weather!  Remember, there is no bad weather, just the wrong gear.  If you need to correct your insulation situation stop by Down Wind Sports in Munising, Marquette or Houghton where all belay parkas are on sale!  We can help you stay warm and enjoy a day on the ice (or just the walk to your car).

The cold temps will have a positive effect and it looks the pattern should break next week.  If that holds conditions will be fantastic for the fest!  And remember, the colder it gets the more likely the Bay will freeze and give us access to Grand Island!
