Our string of favorable weather conditions continues to provide excellent late season climbing conditions!  Sunny and 55 degrees for most of the weekend in the Upper Peninsula has put a hurt on most of our pillars but has done wonders for the seeps that are protected from the sunshine.  Hiking out along the Lakeshore Trail, climbs are as big as we have seen them in years!

 

 

Many climbs are so thick they are almost unrecognizable like The Art of Seduction pictured above.  This curtain usually forms a thin line across the sandstone…..but not this spring!

 

It is still possible to access the climbs from the bottom but with the recent snowfall and warm temperatures you will be post holing between the routes.

While some people are mowing their lawns, the Upper Peninsula still has climbable ice.  If you are interested in coming up and the rain holds off we should have a good solid two weeks of ice climbing!  As always this time of year you can get up to the minute conditions by calling 906-226-7112
