COVID PRECAUTIONS

The Michigan Ice Fest staff are continuing to monitor all developments regarding the ongoing pandemic, and our top priority remains the health and well-being of our Ice Fest family including participants, staff, volunteers and Munising community members.

Many of you have been asking about what precautions we will be taking at the fest and the following are procedures for the festival. Please be courteous to your fellow climbers, volunteers, athletes and our staff.

Masks

Masks will be required in all indoor spaces during the festival.  This includes headquarters, presentations, indoor socials and shuttle busses and vans.  We appreciate everyones cooperation is helping keep our community safe.  If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to us.

Social Distancing

We will do our best to create space to allow people to maintain social distance.  This won’t always be possible and is one of the reasons masking will be required.

Presentations

Masks will be required inside Mather Auditorium and for those who would feel more comfortable watching them from their couch, we are making preperations to livestream all Coffee Talks and Evening Presenations

Sanitation

Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the event spaces to help with general sanitation.

Future Changes

We will continue to follow guidance from local and state public health and safety officials to help make a safe Ice Fest experience for everyone involved. For up to date information regarding the festival please monitor our web, facebook and Instagram pages.
